About My Male Cat 'Sydney'

Sydney is a male cat that we adopted from the ASPCA, back in June 21st of 2009. We had been talking about the idea of giving our female cat, Conny a companion and mate. About a year after we took in Conny, we paid a visit to the ASPCA. We wanted to find a male cat that needed a new home and might make an ideal mate for Conny. We looked at the variety of cats that were available for adoption. Eventually, we noticed a rare-looking cat that happened to be male. The cat’s name was Sydney and he is a colourpoint shorthair. There was something about Sydney that made him stand out. He was both exotic-looking and had a pair of beautiful blue eyes. One of the staff members looked at Sydney’s record. And the little information that was known was that he had been placed in a previous shelter before coming to the ASPCA. The staff had to contact Sydney’s previous owner, whoever he or she might have been. We were told to wait for another time or look around some more. We looked to see if there was another male cat that looked like a good match for Conny. About an hour later, a staff member mentioned that we could adopt Sydney. And so we brought him home with us. Since then, Sydney has become comfortable with both Conny and us. He is nice and friendly, as well as handsome. He shows us love and affection.
