Simple Boy Sydney

Sydney is clueless, simple, and the most modest cat I ever had. I thought that a male cat would be much easier to care for than a female cat. For example, whenever I buy the cat food, he will eat it all, even Conny’s leftovers. It is easy to get him to play with any cat toys. He sleeps wherever he finds a cozy spot. Yes. He is a simple boy.

When we brought him into our home, he consumed a lot of the food. He ate like a starving wolf. Me and my husband worried that he was eating too much food. We were not sure about his past eating habits or schedule. So I had to divide the meal 5 times a day. It was like this for the most of 2 months. Afterward, he became less hungry than usual. Conny was always curiously watching him especially at meal times.
What I found out about Sydney is that he is raw food, eater. He loves to eat raw meat and egg yolk. If I cook in the kitchen, he always tried to get some of the raw meat. He brushed my legs and meowed loudly. If I ignored him, he pushed against me hard in order to get his favorite. First time I thought it was ok to give him the raw food. Back then, during dinner time I would give him the raw meat, such as beef and chicken. It was fun to watch. As for Conny, she hates raw food. She is an instant food loving, chunky girl.
Currently, I became concern about the safety issues about raw meat. So, now he is back to eating just regular cat food. Sydney will show that he is really upset if I don’t give him raw meat. Sorry Sydney, but I think it is just not safe to eat.
